Contemporary Resorts and Residences provides unique and enjoyable places that offers accessible luxury and fulfillment to our guests and residents. CRR is a rapidly developing new properties. Verde Ranch RV Resort, Verde Ranch Estates and Verde Ranch RV Storage are currently open in Camp Verde, Arizona. Additional properties in Ehrenberg, Arizona, Coachella, California and Hardeeville, South Carolina are under development. We are a company on the move and we invite positive, curious and driven individuals to be part of our growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a self-driven individual with a young company that is growing its corporate office. As the VP of Finance, will be responsible for basic accounting functions plus strategic and higher-level responsibilities. As the company grows, the department will grow as well.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversees all corporate and property accounting, including monthly close process, financial statement preparation, state and local taxes, internal controls and risk management
  • Processes/oversees Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable and is an expert at the systems and processes
  • Processes and oversees petty cash, credit cards, and cash management
  • Helps build out and oversees internal controls and compliance
  • Continually evaluates internal processes for improvement
  • Remains current on industry trends and best practices
  • Responsible for leading and maintaining company culture along with CRR executive team
  • Responsible for creation, management, and monitoring the forecast and budgeting processes to deliver profitable results
  • Participates in the development of short term and long term financial and operational plans
  • Balance sheet, cash account and credit card reconciliations
  • Knowledge of state and local tax (not essential, but will need to learn)
  • Comfortable with report generation and analysis
  • Establish and continually audit all internal financial controls including purchasing, cash handling, disbursements, credit extension, inventories, hotel assets, master keys, payroll, and employee records.
  • Contract negotiation
  • Ensuring the company’s annual operating and capital budget process aligns with the strategic planning and business unit for all properties
  • Working with outside parties (banks, construction, development, etc) on mutual interests
  • Proficient in property management systems and technology
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Exceptional Excel and communication skills

Experience:

  • Operational accounting or finance experience, preferably in hospitality
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in accounting, finance or business administration
  • Advance degree a plus
  • CPA a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in related field

Computer Skills: Working knowledge and proficiency with M.S. Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
